Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator for the Mexico operation will manage the end‑to‑end flow of materials, ensuring that inbound supplies and outbound shipments reach production lines and customers on time. This position supports a global automotive supplier and works closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance with Mexican regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics activities, including inbound material handling, outbound shipments, and inventory coordination.
• Plan and schedule shipments to achieve on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) delivery for customers and production.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for domestic and international movements.
• Troubleshoot delays, shortages, and transportation issues in real time.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican import/export rules, USMCA requirements, and internal trade policies.
• Prepare and manage documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate logistics staff, assigning daily priorities and balancing workloads.
• Identify process improvements and cost‑saving opportunities, monitor freight spend, and support lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production & Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Finance on logistics matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Logistics Coordinator.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
