Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Baxter is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and build effective supplier relationships. The role focuses on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement within a global healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify savings opportunities and improve financial performance through cost‑reduction and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain and expand the preferred vendor list, consortium, and group‑purchasing arrangements.
• Provide support for purchase‑order and vendor setup, Coupa system troubleshooting, and user assistance.
• Lead procurement projects, guide team decisions, and ensure compliance with policies, laws, and market conditions.
• Prepare and manage RFX processes, collaborating with business units to define requirements and procurement methods.
• Supervise spend‑analysis activities to launch competitive sourcing processes.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and uphold service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• SCMP/CPP certification preferred.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing and procurement.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with data‑driven decision making.
