Product Design Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an entry‑level Product Design Engineer to support the creation of high‑quality, customer‑focused design solutions. You will contribute to on‑time delivery and first‑pass yield by producing accurate engineering designs that meet customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and technical documentation based on customer requirements and engineering standards.
• Provide engineering‑to‑order (ETO) support and ensure designs align with project schedules.
• Create special/custom designs with emphasis on quality, accuracy, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply‑chain teams to verify feasibility.
• Review and validate designs to minimize errors and improve first‑pass yield.
• Support on‑time delivery targets through efficient execution and prioritisation.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for design processes.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with company and customer standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, accountable and eager to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality deliverables.
• Effective time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Creo Parametric, AutoCAD).
• Basic programming knowledge (optional).
• Understanding of electrical schematics (optional).
• Familiarity with HVAC systems (optional).
