Purchasing Industrial Cost Specialist

About the role

The Purchasing Industrial Cost Specialist will evaluate supplier manufacturing facilities to uncover discrepancies between purchase orders, price breakdowns and original PPAP documentation, driving cost‑saving opportunities for Stellantis. The role involves close collaboration with Purchasing Program Managers and the Commodity Purchasing Organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site reviews of supplier factories to identify gaps in PO compliance, pricing structures and PPAP records.
• Plan, execute and document supplier audits, publishing clear findings.
• Assess manufacturing systems—including automation, tooling, rack layouts, cycle times, headcount and scrap rates—and translate observations into empirical cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain daily communication with Purchasing Program Managers and the Commodity Purchasing Organization to align on cost‑saving strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, purchasing, supplier quality or related manufacturing engineering roles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze supplier processes and generate actionable cost‑saving recommendations.

Required skills
