Remote Bookkeeper/Accountant (AR/AP) for Service Business

About the role

We are seeking a remote Bookkeeper/Accountant (AR/AP) to support a growing U.S.-based HVAC and plumbing service business. The position starts part‑time (20–25 hrs/week) with a clear path to full‑time as the company expands.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Track job costing and report profitability per project.
• Process payroll and calculate weekly commissions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Required profile

• 8+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Highly confident in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with job costing in a service‑based or trade business.
• Proven ability to calculate weekly commissions.
• Fluent English and able to work independently.
