Senior Associate – SAP Material Master Data Governance

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to lead SAP Material Master data governance for its global supply chain and manufacturing operations in Mexico City. The role will ensure data accuracy, compliance and support product launches across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with data stewards, plant managers, ERP and global planning teams to maintain accurate material master data.
• Create, maintain, extend and govern SAP Material Master records supporting manufacturing and supply‑chain activities.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of master‑data issues, ensuring consistency, completeness and alignment with governance standards.
• Manage master‑data requests, drive process improvements, monitor data‑quality metrics and uphold internal controls and SOPs.
• Act as subject‑matter expert, identify risks, propose solutions and promote operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years experience in master data management, data governance, supply‑chain or manufacturing ERP environments.
• Proven ability to support global stakeholders across multiple regions, preferably in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong sense of urgency, independent work style and excellent stakeholder communication.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with SAP Material Master maintenance and governance.
• Hands‑on knowledge of ERP systems and master‑data governance processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data‑analysis tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing and supply‑chain processes, data quality management and root‑cause investigation.
