Site Financial Controller

About the role

The Site Financial Controller will lead all financial activities for the Interiors manufacturing site in Nogales, Sonora. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies, Mexican tax regulations and aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting records, monthly close, statutory and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, Mexican tax (IMMEX, ISR, VAT), transfer pricing and local statutory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, standard costing and payroll.
• Supervise treasury, accounts payable, tax compliance and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal, external, statutory and tax audits.
• Develop and communicate accounting policies, procedures, systems and controls.
• Partner with operations to identify cost‑saving and profitability opportunities.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and development for the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a maquiladora or manufacturing environment with strong cost accounting responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing SOX compliance and internal control processes.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
