Tax Specialist – Mexico (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Tax Specialist to lead tax compliance for our operations in Mexico while acting as a strategic partner to the business. The role combines day‑to‑day compliance work with advisory responsibilities that influence commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Mexican tax obligations, including VAT, income tax, withholding and local taxes.
• Assess tax implications of new projects, transactions and commercial initiatives.
• Identify tax risks, propose mitigation strategies and support tax audits.
• Manage interactions with the Mexican tax authority (SAT) and oversee tax filings, calculations and reconciliations.
• Monitor legislative changes and lead implementation of required adjustments.
• Support transfer‑pricing documentation and intercompany transactions when needed.
• Improve tax processes, internal controls and collaborate with external advisors for specialized matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive corporate tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Advanced/Fluent English is mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation.
• Experience handling complex tax matters.
• Solid understanding of the interaction between accounting and tax.
