Account Manager – Automotive Supplier

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to drive profitability and customer satisfaction for our automotive programs. The role involves forecasting, managing program accounts, and supporting strategic planning within a global Tier‑1 supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate business forecast analysis to support budgeting, resource allocation and capital planning.
• Maintain or exceed profit margins, ROI and payback targets.
• Manage assigned program account activities to maximise long‑term profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead closure of engineering changes in line with sales and marketing procedures.
• Communicate customers’ technical requirements and program opportunities internally.
• Oversee commercial processes including price negotiation, cost control and contract management.
• Collect and analyse market, customer and competitor information.
• Notify customers of delivery delays or complications and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Track and resolve all commercial open issues.
• Support the product line and Platform Director with strategic planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar account management or Tier‑1 sales role.
• Proven track record in managing commercial processes and achieving profitability targets.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
