Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will support the Reynosa manufacturing plant by supervising and analyzing manufacturing costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing cost insights for product development and business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and supervise manufacturing costs, preparing variance reports between standard and actual costs.
• Develop cost estimates for new product introductions and supply cost information to R&D.
• Prepare and present management reports on product profitability, absorption, volume, revenue and key business indicators.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities, including VOP, cost per unit, absorption, MUV, PPV calculations, GL journal entries, flash reporting and SAP report validation.
• Assess the impact of design, material and process changes on product costs.
• Maintain inventory account reconciliations and support General Ledger accuracy.
• Participate in annual standard cost, budget and forecast preparation.
• Support CAPEX projects and ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX and audit standards.

Required profile

• Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product development, finance and operations teams.
