Design Engineer II – 1st Shift – On‑site – Aerospace Structures

About the role

The Design Engineering team creates innovative, reliable solutions for aerospace components. As a Design Engineer II you will work on‑site in Mexicali, delivering safe, ergonomic, and high‑quality designs that meet strict aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design solutions for aircraft components following design manuals and best practices.
• Apply material knowledge to ensure safety, performance, and reliability.
• Support manufacturing and operations by aligning designs with engineering specifications.
• Lead and participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to resolve quality issues.
• Propose corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver timely design outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product design and development.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Experience creating 3D structural models using CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of GD&T for precise dimensioning and tolerance.
