Design Engineer II

About the role

Design Engineer II will support the Check process within the Mechanical Discipline, providing engineering analysis and design for Gulfstream aircraft cabin assets such as galley, credenza, ledges, and PSU. The role is based in Mexicali and involves collaboration across the product development and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze engineering data to solve low to high‑complexity problems.
• Provide custom engineering support throughout the release process.
• Review data integrity of engineering packages for G500/G600 and G700 programs.
• Define and implement engineering changes and incorporate them into design definitions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and flexible to team needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD using CATIA V5 (3D design).
• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D design.
• Understanding of engineering incorporation and release processes.
• Familiarity with cabin asset manufacturing and installation.
