Field Production Engineer

About the role

Harbour Energy is seeking a Field Production Engineer to manage and optimise the complete lifecycle of oil and gas production systems at its Villahermosa operations. The role ensures a steady, efficient flow from reservoir to separation facilities while driving production maximisation and maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end production system, monitoring downhole to surface facilities to guarantee optimal flow and performance.
• Develop and implement technical strategies to maximise fluid extraction and operational profitability.
• Supervise service and supply contracts, ensuring vendors meet quality, delivery and safety requirements.
• Lead Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and preventing major accident events.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously optimise production processes and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Petroleum, Mechanical or related) with proven experience in field production operations.
• Strong understanding of production system management, optimisation techniques and HSEQ principles.
• Experience in contract administration and vendor performance monitoring.
• Ability to lead safety‑critical activities and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
