Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead planning, execution, and optimisation of logistics for a project‑based docking equipment business. This position ensures timely, cost‑effective movement of materials and finished equipment from U.S. facilities to job sites, distribution centres and customers, with a strong focus on cross‑border shipments to Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project‑based logistics execution aligned with construction milestones, coordinating phased and partial shipments.
• Oversee domestic and cross‑border transportation for oversized, heavy equipment, selecting and evaluating carriers and freight forwarders.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements, monitor transit performance and resolve delivery disruptions.
• Coordinate with Export and Export Compliance teams to ensure compliant cross‑border execution and support customs brokers.
• Work with manufacturing and warehousing teams on staging, crating, packaging, labeling and load planning.
• Anticipate logistics risks, lead issue resolution for late or damaged shipments, and develop contingency plans.
• Track logistics KPIs, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation management, preferably in a project‑oriented environment.
