Maintenance Technician – Plant Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of production and facility equipment in its plant. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) on plant equipment according to company standards.
• Perform breakdown repairs on mechanical and electrical systems following work order procedures.
• Collaborate with production operators to develop and implement operator‑maintenance checks.
• Maintain vacuum systems, HVAC units, air compressors, generators, exhaust fans, fuel pumps, fire‑protection and water‑distribution equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic tests using volt/ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
• Install electrical components in compliance with applicable codes.
• Operate hand and machine tools, including lathe, drill press, grinder and braze‑welding equipment.
• Maintain accurate PM and repair records and keep the shop clean and orderly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, confined‑space permits and proper PPE usage.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PLC and oven controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings, ladder logic and electrical/mechanical schematics.
