Materials Management Operator (Digital Transformation)

About the role

KONE is seeking a Materials Management Operator to support the digital transformation of material flow tracking in its Mexico City operations. You will ensure accurate capture of material movements in a new ERP system and help build traceability solutions that improve logistics efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Validate that material flows are correctly recorded in the new ERP tracking system during implementation.
• Support corrective adjustments before full deployment of the ERP solution.
• Map traceability gaps in inbound and internal logistics and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in the digital transformation project by developing, testing, and deploying track‑and‑trace applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps).
• Provide stakeholders with real‑time visibility of material delivery dates.
• Drive process standardisation, enhance traceability, and enable smoother end‑to‑end logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Metallurgical), Supply Chain Management, Business Innovation or a related field.
• 2–4 years of direct experience in supply‑chain operations, material management or operational project management.
• Experience in a global materials supply or logistics environment, including digital tool implementations and traceability processes.
• Proven experience in system implementations, digitalisation projects (preferably low‑code platforms) and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Process mapping and control‑tool creation.
• Data‑structure analysis and translation of operational bottlenecks into digital workflows.
• Proficiency with low‑code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
