Production Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of Harbour Energy’s oil and gas production system at the Villahermosa site. You will ensure a steady, efficient flow from reservoir to separation facilities while driving production optimisation and maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end production system to guarantee continuous and efficient fluid flow.
• Develop and apply technical strategies that maximise daily oil‑equivalent output and profitability.
• Supervise service and supply contracts, ensuring vendors meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Lead Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives, ensuring operations are accident‑free and compliant with regulations.
• Monitor and optimise production from downhole through surface facilities, preventing major accident events and environmental incidents.
• Act in full alignment with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance framework and complete required training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in oil and gas production engineering.
• Strong understanding of production system management and optimisation.
• Experience managing contracts with service and supply vendors.
• Demonstrated leadership in HSEQ compliance and safety culture.
• Commitment to ethical standards and continuous learning.
