Senior Backend Developer (AWS, Python, Salesforce)

About the role

Cognizant is seeking a senior backend developer to design, build, and optimise cloud‑native solutions for a global client. The role operates in a hybrid model, focusing on AWS, Python micro‑services, Salesforce integration and MongoDB data stores.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AWS cloud services supporting critical business workflows.
• Develop, enhance and maintain Python‑based micro‑services that integrate with Salesforce and MongoDB.
• Configure and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated Salesforce deployments.
• Create robust MongoDB data models and queries for efficient reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and peers to refine user stories and technical designs.
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting for AWS resources and Python services.
• Conduct code reviews, write automated unit, integration and functional tests, and optimise performance across the stack.
• Ensure security best practices for authentication, authorisation and data protection.
• Document designs, deployment procedures and runbooks for support teams.

Required profile
