Financial Analyst – Reporting & Cost Management

About the role

The Financial Analyst will lead the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information for Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and internal controls while providing actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed monthly reviews of expense figures (P&L) by category and cost center across three ledgers.
• Review and approve Level 1 purchase requisitions in SAP, ensuring policy and budget compliance.
• Execute post‑month‑end activities, preparing and distributing financial reports to stakeholders.
• Monitor and approve capital and operational projects, tracking financial impact and execution.
• Track monthly cost‑out initiatives and report alignment with productivity targets.
• Prepare and distribute weekly operational reports (WOR) highlighting performance, variances, and trends.
• Support budget preparation, provide guidance to requestors, and ensure financial planning controls.
• Assist the GFSS team with account explanations, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
• Participate in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development and physical inventory processes.
• Lead capital expenditure processes, including Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) and asset management.
• Perform payroll analysis using the TRESS system and support internal/external audits (EY, KPMG).

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control requirements.
• Experience reviewing and approving transactions in SAP.
• Hands‑on experience with the TRESS payroll system.
• Proven ability to support external audits and prepare related documentation.
