Gaming QA Engineer (FQA) – Mexico City

About the role

TransPerfect Games is seeking a passionate Gaming QA Engineer (FQA) to join our team in Mexico City. You will test a variety of games—from indie projects to AAA titles—ensuring they meet high quality standards before release.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and developers to define testing objectives.
• Analyze user stories, functional specs, and design documents to identify testable features.
• Design comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases covering functional, non‑functional, and edge scenarios.
• Refine existing test cases to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Create necessary test data and environments for execution.
• Work with automation engineers to flag test cases suitable for automation.
• Conduct reviews and walkthroughs of test artifacts with stakeholders.
• Guide QA testers on execution details, scenarios, and expected results.
• Monitor test execution, track defects, and report test coverage.

Required profile

• Passion for video games and a relentless mindset to break them.
• Strong documentation skills with clear reproduction steps.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and deliver high‑quality testing on time.
• Legal right to work in Mexico and ability to commute to the Mexico City office.
• At least 2 years of QA testing experience, preferably in gaming.

Required skills

• Experience with bug tracking tools such as ADO, JIRA, or Bugzilla.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and related Google Workspace tools.
