Global Director, Maintenance & Engineering

About the role

The Global Director, Maintenance & Engineering leads the worldwide strategy for maintenance, engineering, and asset reliability across all operations. This senior position ensures that global standards are met, drives operational excellence, and supports business continuity in safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deploy global maintenance and engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Establish standardized policies, procedures, and performance frameworks for all sites.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance programs.
• Lead global engineering projects, overseeing design, installation, commissioning, and CAPEX planning.
• Develop and deliver global training programs to build maintenance and engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety to integrate maintenance strategies with production needs.
• Manage global maintenance budgets, monitor KPIs such as asset reliability and downtime, and ensure cost‑efficient execution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing global teams and large‑scale projects.
• Proven track record of delivering operational improvements and business impact.
• Experience in the food or manufacturing industry is preferred.
