HR Business Partner

About the role

ABB is seeking an HR Business Partner to develop and implement people strategy for the Electrification team. The role supports a defined team or location, partnering with managers and representing HR across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure an effective overall HR contribution and value‑add to the business in partnership with functions and Shared Services.
• Support the execution of HR processes across the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle, delivering the best approach for the area of responsibility.
• Partner with managers to develop and implement people strategies aligned with business goals.
• Facilitate change‑management initiatives and drive behavior change and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 6 + years of HR experience, including at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner or in a strategic HR role.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leadership on organizational development and change‑management initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of labor laws, employee relations and HR best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using HR metrics, data insights and HRIS systems to support decision‑making.
