Junior Transportation Import-Export & Customs Specialist

About the role

RHI Magnesita is looking for a Junior Transportation Import‑Export & Customs Specialist to support global shipments into Mexico. The role works closely with carriers, internal supply‑chain teams and international stakeholders to ensure smooth movement of goods while adhering to company policies and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Create and follow up bookings, coordinating directly with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Manage itineraries, verify and approve Bill of Lading documents.
• Prepare, amend and approve commercial shipping documents.
• Collaborate daily with production, quality, transportation, and warehouse teams across multiple countries.
• Interpret data, monitor KPIs and drive improvements aligned with global goals.
• Handle pressure, meet deadlines and maintain proactive communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in import‑export or customs operations.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.

Required skills

• High proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system for data entry, reporting and analysis.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
