Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join WK Kellogg Co’s plant in Mexicali as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for keeping critical production equipment running at 100% availability. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, manage work orders in SAP, and support the production schedule through reliable equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) plans to minimise equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to create and follow PM schedules.
• Maintain documentation such as spare‑part folders, equipment layouts, and inspection lists.
• Update SAP with spare‑part inventories and work order statuses.
• Support post‑maintenance testing, cleaning, and line start‑up.
• Track and follow up on orders from previous shifts.
• Complete daily checklists and generate alerts as needed.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Electrical or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of gear reducers, power transmission systems, conveyors, basic electronics and electrical systems.

Required skills

• Preventive and predictive maintenance (TPM) techniques.
• Intermediate knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and welding (pailería).
• Ability to read electrical control diagrams.
• Diagnosing and programming variable frequency drives (VFD).
• Basic PLC programming knowledge.
• Basic SAP usage for work order and inventory management.
