Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work with local and global engineering teams to develop products that meet customer specifications. The role covers concept design, validation, documentation, and launch activities for production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings and specifications.
• Validate product performance through prototype builds and production testing.
• Maintain and release documentation in internal systems.
• Interact directly with customers to gather requirements, schedules and budgets.
• Conduct corrosion research and welding characterization.
• Lead mechanical design tasks within cross‑functional New Product Development teams.
• Support manufacturing by providing design guidance for machining, forming, welding, brazing and assembly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple competing tasks.
• Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organization, planning and time‑management abilities.
• High ethical standards and personal accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
