Project Manager – Strategy and Transformation

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Project Manager – Strategy and Transformation Specialist to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and manage cross‑functional mechanical and electrical teams from concept through market launch. The role ensures seamless project execution, cost control, and client hand‑over while upholding Vertiv’s core principles of safety, integrity, respect, teamwork, and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects, coordinating mechanical and electrical disciplines from specification, design review, costing, procurement, installation, commissioning to final hand‑over.
• Supervise weekly progress of technical teams, identify problem areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain overall responsibility for project labor control, coordination, and contractor management.
• Attend site and client meetings to monitor progress against program schedules.
• Process internal procurement, track manufacturing, and ensure delivery with a complete audit trail.
• Communicate with contractors to define scope, deliver documentation, and manage correspondence.
• Report project status, expenditure, and cost control metrics to senior leadership.
• Oversee all financial and managerial aspects of assigned projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in a similar project‑management role within mechanical/electrical environments.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor cross‑functional teams.
• Commercially focused with a self‑motivated approach to driving large‑scale projects.
