Accountant – Financial Reporting & Treasury

About the role

Join Cisco's finance team as an Accountant and contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the business. You will work across general ledger, treasury, and monthly billing functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GL and treasury accounting, including monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements and variances.
• Record intercompany transactions, settlements and maintain intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Treasury, AR, FP&A, Tax, and Accounts Payable to ensure proper GL posting.
• Support SOX internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Assist external auditors with schedules and documentation during annual audits.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc reporting projects.
• Provide backup coverage for other accounting areas and prepare local financial statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Experience with Oracle or ability to quickly learn new ERP systems.
• Knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS and dual‑ledger architecture.
• Understanding of SOX controls and US GAAP compliance.
