Accountant

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accountant to join its global finance team. In this role you will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Execute timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings.
• Apply US GAAP accounting, reporting and data analysis, and respond to ad‑hoc information requests.
• Perform general ledger account analysis and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain SOX controls and related documentation.
• Create and update process documentation.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other finance functions to streamline accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with general ledger activities, month‑end and year‑end close, and reconciliation of open items.

Required skills

• ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, Blackline).
• Understanding of US GAAP.
• SOX control knowledge.
• General ledger accounting and reconciliation.
