Accounting & Tax Specialist

About the role

The Accounting & Tax Specialist will manage the company's accounting, tax, payroll and financial reporting activities in line with Mexican regulations, corporate policies and Group requirements. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Director and Group Finance teams to ensure accurate financial information and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record, review and maintain accounting transactions in SAP, ensuring accuracy and proper classification.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closings, preparing financial statements, supporting schedules and necessary adjustments.
• Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations for banks, AP, AR, payroll, taxes, fixed assets, accruals and intercompany balances.
• Support the calculation, review and timely filing of federal and local tax obligations, including CFDIs and electronic accounting.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and accounting service providers, reviewing their deliverables.
• Assist with cash‑flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, payment controls, intercompany transactions and audit requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or public accounting.
• At least 4 years of experience in general accounting, tax compliance or financial reporting for a Mexican legal entity.
• Knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with the full accounting cycle, financial statement preparation and tax filings.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
