Senior Operations Finance Analyst

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Operations Finance Analyst to support its manufacturing plants. The role focuses on analyzing cost of sales, product margins, pricing trends and productivity metrics to drive cost‑reduction initiatives and improve financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze cost of sales, product margins, average pricing and cost ratios to identify trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts and operational analyses for plant management and business decision‑making.
• Conduct expenditure analysis and deliver clear recommendations to reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Support month‑end close activities, including financial adjustments, reconciliations and operational accounting.
• Partner with supply‑chain, production and cross‑functional teams to review inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies and strengthen reporting.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects that enhance internal controls, consistency and efficiency across finance operations.
• Ensure all financial analysis and reporting comply with GAAP and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret cost of sales, margins, productivity and variance trends.
• Proven experience preparing financial statements, forecasts and operational reports.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
