Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León. The role will manage the cost accounting system, control inventory, perform variance analysis and provide financial reports that support operational decisions and corporate financial accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain standard costing systems and procedures.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger accounts and execute month‑end cost accounting close.
• Allocate costs for labor, machinery, depreciation, assembly and overhead based on operational data.
• Prepare financial statements, cost variance reports and ad‑hoc analyses for management.
• Interpret financial reports and operational metrics to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuations, cost sheets and transactional data within Oracle ERP.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement and Quality teams to ensure data integrity and process compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on cost accounting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English for business meetings, presentations and collaboration with global leadership.

Required skills

• Proven experience with Oracle ERP (Cost Accounting, Inventory and Manufacturing modules).
