Analytical Monitor (Remote)

About the role

ICON Strategic Solutions is looking for an Advanced Analytical Monitor to join its client-dedicated Integrated Data Analytics & Reporting team. Working in a sponsor-dedicated model, the role helps identify site- and subject-level risks early, supporting clinical trial integrity, patient safety and operational efficiency. It covers mid to high-complexity studies and involves collaboration with Data Management, Central Monitoring and Site Management, plus mentoring of junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytical monitoring for assigned clinical trials, identifying early site- and subject-level risks, trends and data quality issues.
• Carry out regular site and subject-level data reviews to detect early warning signals and prevent issues recurring.
• Analyse data from multiple systems, reporting tools, platforms and databases to support decision-making.
• Work with Site Managers, Central Monitoring and other partners to influence site prioritisation and guided risk management.
• Ensure all work complies with SOPs, ICH-GCP requirements, regulatory standards and project timelines.
• Communicate across stakeholders, manage parallel workstreams and escalate issues through established pathways.
• Train, guide and mentor junior Analytical Monitors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Data Sciences or a related field; a Master's is preferred.
• About 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO industry.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, study execution and data flow.
• Demonstrated data analysis experience in clinical research, including core statistical concepts.
• Project, issue and risk management experience with critical thinking.
• Experience with clinical data collection, analysis and reporting platforms.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication and strong organisational skills.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
