Area Marketing Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an Area Marketing Manager to design and execute a holistic marketing plan that leverages digital, ATL, BTL and partnership activities. The role focuses on building the Mastercard brand, positioning products for issuers and merchants, and driving card issuance and usage in line with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer objectives and create segment‑driven opportunities that generate revenue and long‑term value.
• Partner with sales teams to size and scope bank assignments and develop marketing intelligence.
• Ideate, implement and track marketing programs from concept through post‑campaign analysis.
• Manage marketing budgets, ensure efficient spend, and report ROI.
• Develop brand‑building and product‑specific programs, including sponsorship asset management.
• Coordinate deliverables with external vendors such as agencies and production partners.
• Ensure compliance with internal legal and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience analyzing customer needs and translating them into marketing initiatives.
• Strong collaboration skills with sales and cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver measurable ROI.
• Experience coordinating external agencies and vendors.
• Knowledge of compliance and internal financial processes.
