Associate Specialist, Cross-Border Payment Operations

About the role

Support the daily operations of Mastercard's cross‑border payment processes, ensuring data accuracy and timely transaction handling. The role requires a proactive approach and a foundational understanding of the payments industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily operational tasks of collating data on payout partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor transaction flows, identify issues, and address them promptly.
• Identify and resolve payment‑related discrepancies, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Accurately enter and maintain transaction data in relevant systems.
• Support customer service teams with payment‑related inquiries and escalations.
• Perform time‑boxed tasks to support business goals and product delivery.
• Draft and contribute to internal and external implementation documents and process flows.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving payment processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English for verbal and written communication with global stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in payment operations, banking back‑office, or financial services.
• Experience in cross‑border payments or remittance services is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability to work from the office at least three days per week.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
