Automotive Key Account Leader

About the role

The Automotive Key Account Leader will drive 3M’s growth with a strategic automotive customer, shaping and executing sales strategies that increase business relevance and meet defined objectives. This remote position is based in Ciudad Juarez and requires frequent travel to the customer’s sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement short‑, mid‑ and long‑term growth plans for both spec‑in and consumable product lines.
• Build collaborative networks across the customer’s engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, planning and executive teams.
• Translate the Voice of Customer into actionable initiatives within 3M, leveraging global and local resources.
• Monitor market share, KPIs and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to support customer engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing automotive key accounts with a global footprint.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of specification processes (spec‑in) preferred.
• Project management understanding is desirable.
