Bilingual Remote Litigation Paralegal (English/Spanish)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) remote paralegal to support attorneys at a busy U.S. law firm. The role focuses on litigation matters in personal injury, employment, criminal, and family law, with a strong emphasis on California procedures. You will work from home, handling case management, client communication, document preparation, and translation tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining client notes.
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and letters in compliance with California law.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering questions, and gathering necessary documentation.
• Conduct legal research on California statutes and case law, summarizing findings for case strategy.
• Organize digital and physical case files, prepare exhibits, and support preparation for court appearances or depositions.
• Provide administrative support including calendar management, billing, time tracking, and scheduling.
• Translate legal documents and interpret during client meetings, depositions, or interviews as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field, or a paralegal certificate from an approved school.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a U.S. law firm, preferably with California case exposure.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher) and native‑level Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of California legal procedures and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management software such as Clio and MyCase.
