Commercial Contracts Attorney (Real Estate & Procurement)

About the role

Expeditors International is seeking a Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its Global Legal Department. The attorney will support the Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group, advising internal clients on legal implications and risk exposures related to real estate and procurement across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including confidentiality, real‑estate lease, construction, equipment lease, asset purchase, services, and SaaS contracts.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on best practices, risk mitigation, and corporate compliance.
• Support litigation management and respond to general legal inquiries from business teams worldwide.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives driven by the Legal Department and the practice group.

Required profile

• Law degree and a valid license to practice law in Mexico, in good standing.
• 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department of a global corporation.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; all written communications are in English.
• Strong background in real‑estate and commercial law with extensive contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate legal risks to enable informed business decisions.
• High integrity, strong work ethic, and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
