Commercial Sales Support Specialist

About the role

The Commercial Sales Support Specialist will partner with the Mountain and Mid‑West District Sales Team to deliver a strong customer experience and help win business across the region. This position supports Commercial Territory Managers by handling quotes, bids, orders and follow‑through activities, ensuring projects move smoothly from inception to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage daily customer quotations with high accuracy and responsiveness.
• Support plan‑and‑spec opportunities by coordinating with house accounts and moving bids through the sales process.
• Enter and maintain orders, managing the delivery process to ensure timely, accurate support for customers.
• Own and maintain the weekly bid schedule, keeping the team organized and on deadline.
• Prioritize projects, communicate bid timelines, and coordinate responsibilities with Commercial Territory Managers.
• Manage quote follow‑up activities, including weekly open‑quote reporting, CRM updates, and coordination with third‑party vendors.
• Assist with credit and collection activities, partnering across teams to resolve issues and support smooth order processing.
• Prepare and manage submittals and orders accurately to reduce manual overrides and improve order quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales support, customer service, operations, or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Relationship‑building, listening, persuasion, negotiation, and time‑management skills.
• Working knowledge of sales principles, product positioning, customer engagement and effective follow‑through.
• Customer‑first mindset with the ability to understand needs, provide quality support and build trust.
