Commodity Analyst – MRO

About the role

The Commodity Analyst – MRO supports the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers for Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) and indirect materials. Reporting to the Procurement leadership, the analyst works closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure timely acquisition while driving cost savings and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement activities for MRO categories, indirect materials, and operational services.
• Analyze spend, supplier performance, and purchasing trends to identify cost‑reduction and improvement opportunities.
• Execute RFQ/RFP processes, conduct bid analysis, and provide sourcing recommendations.
• Create and maintain purchase orders in Oracle or other ERP systems, ensuring compliance.
• Track procurement savings, purchase price variance, and category performance against targets.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations using Power BI and Excel for stakeholder visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management.
• Experience supporting MRO or indirect purchasing, preferably for US‑based teams.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, dashboards).
• Power BI for reporting and spend analysis.
• ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• RFQ/RFP process management and supplier benchmarking.
