Configuration & QC Specialist I and II

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is hiring a Configuration & QC Specialist I and II in Mexico City. Working in an office-hybrid setting (3 days at the office), you will design and analyse clinical trials, interpret complex medical data and help advance new treatments and therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain clinical trial databases and electronic data capture (EDC) systems, ensuring accuracy, functionality and regulatory compliance
• Perform quality control (QC) checks on clinical trial data and study documentation, identifying discrepancies, inconsistencies and data entry errors
• Work with data management, biostatistics and clinical operations teams to address QC findings and implement corrective actions
• Lead the development and execution of validation plans and procedures for EDC systems and data management processes
• Train and support junior team members on system configuration, data entry guidelines and QC processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field
• 3+ years of experience in clinical data management, data validation or a related role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based

Required skills

• Proficiency in clinical trial databases and EDC systems such as Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical or Inform
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
