Controller – Finance Operations

About the role

ARQ is looking for a fintech‑savvy Controller to lead and scale its multi‑jurisdictional financial operations in Mexico. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes as the company expands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, including multi‑entity consolidations and financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for accounting, tax filings and audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and oversee external audits.
• Oversee tax and regulatory filings, liaising with external tax advisors.
• Lead group‑wide ERP implementation, including chart of accounts set‑up, data entry, flows and analytics.
• Handle invoice processing (A/P and A/R) and coordinate payments with Treasury.
• Identify and implement automation and optimization strategies for accounting processes.
• Collaborate with Treasury, FP&A and other teams to align reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing financial operations across different regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑entity consolidation, IFRS, GAAP and international compliance.
• Ability to lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes efficiently.
• Analytical mindset suited to a fast‑paced, high‑growth fintech environment.
• Experience with SQL tools.
