About the role

The Specialist Sourcing – Engineering at CPKC is responsible for end‑to‑end strategic sourcing across the Engineering portfolio. This senior position drives supplier selection, contract management and cost‑saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with legal and risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑lifecycle strategic sourcing activities, from stakeholder intake to contract close‑out.
• Conduct market research, develop sourcing strategies, issue RFPs and manage supplier clarifications.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms in partnership with Legal and Risk teams.
• Maintain a qualified vendor pool in Ariba, including capability assessments and compliance checks.
• Monitor executed agreements for performance, KPI adherence, and renewal management.
• Support governance, reporting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within an engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and supplier performance metrics.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Legal, Risk, Finance and Operations.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
