Customs Analyst

About the role

The Customs Analyst bridges sourcing points and operations teams, planning and executing the import process into Mexico. The role ensures timely product delivery while complying with a complex legal framework and addressing border and infrastructure challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate customs clearance for imports into Mexico, aligning with business needs.
• Manage documentation, operative costs, and relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and internal customers.
• Monitor and improve customs broker performance to maintain lead times and execution quality.
• Report customs expenses, process payments to suppliers, and follow financial controls and budgeting procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal functions to resolve logistical, regulatory, and security issues.

Required profile

• Experience handling customs clearance and compliance within Mexico.
• Strong understanding of Mexican customs regulations and interaction with government agencies (ANAM, COFEPRIS, SAT, etc.).
• Ability to navigate border congestion, infrastructure limitations, and security risks.
• Proactive problem‑solving skills and capacity to work under uncertain operational conditions.
