Customs Brokerage Specialist

About the role

Join Expeditors' customs brokerage team in Mexico City and play a key part in ensuring seamless import and export processes for our global customers. You will work with the MASL system to create, audit, and process customs documentation while maintaining strict compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Create and audit pedimentos in the MASL system for each shipment.
• Identify and correct errors before pedimento payment.
• Generate spreadsheet reports ("Hoja de cálculo") within MASL.
• Enter accurate data into the operating system and track customs files.
• Verify that all import and export documents meet compliance standards.
• Communicate promptly with internal teams and external partners.
• Escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Participate in mandatory training and meet the 52‑hour annual training requirement.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage processes and related documentation.
• Understanding of import/export DLSOP procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Ability to identify process improvements and work efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
