Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer within Redwood Logistics’ Shared Services, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, a Data Vault, and various data warehouses and marts to deliver key metrics across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines from TMS and other data sources.
• Design and implement new data structures or extend existing ones to meet evolving business needs.
• Develop and maintain the Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts for operational and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, executives, clients, engineers, and external vendors.

Required profile

• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of technology experience in data engineering.
• Creative thinker with a passion for problem‑solving and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Amazon Relational Database Service (Aurora, MySQL).
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Snowflake.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning.
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, and REST APIs (strong plus).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
