Design Engineer

About the role
AFL Telecomunicaciones de México is seeking a Design Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Nuevo León. You will work under the supervision of a Product Engineer, handling design updates and supporting prototype development for fiber‑optic products.
Key responsibilities
- Execute setup and update activities for part numbers released within the OCA organization.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials, engineering drawings, and 3D models of components and assemblies.
- Provide technical support for prototype and pre‑production samples based on input from product line and development engineers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Current residence in Mexico with willingness to relocate to Nuevo León.
- Experience applying GD&T principles.
Required skills
- Parametric solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
- ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
