About the role
Ascendion is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its remote team in Mexico. The role focuses on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure, and supporting containerized applications for Fortune‑500 clients.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
- Automate provisioning of cloud resources on AWS or GCP with Terraform.
- Deploy, manage and monitor containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation to support production environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline release processes.
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering.
- Proven experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Debian).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
