About the role

The Sourcing Director leads the end‑to‑end Private Brands sourcing strategy for both Domestic and Direct Import programs. This senior position is responsible for supplier selection, negotiations, cost approvals, and ensuring supply continuity, quality, and speed to market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a holistic Private Brands sourcing strategy aligned with the 3‑5 year category plan.
• Determine the optimal mix of domestic versus import sourcing, geographic footprint, and global leverage opportunities.
• Own sourcing execution decisions, including RFQ strategy, bid vs. negotiate approach, supplier selection, and award.
• Approve product costs within merchant‑defined guardrails and lead supplier negotiations and contracting.
• Manage the supplier matrix, onboarding, development, diversification, and exit strategies while mitigating single‑origin and single‑supplier risks.
• Monitor programs throughout production and shipment, addressing execution risks with Supply Chain and Replenishment teams.
• Track performance against KPIs such as cost, service level, quality, and in‑stock performance.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for Private Brands sourcing execution, collaborating with Merchandising, Product Development, Quality, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Replenishment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
