Director of Recruitment – Solar & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Recruitment to design, build, and lead the recruiting function for a fast‑growing solar and roofing company operating across Texas. This senior, strategic role will create scalable hiring processes, implement recruiting technology, and develop metrics while actively filling business‑critical positions during the early phase.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a repeatable end‑to‑end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding handoff.
• Build standardized hiring workflows, interview frameworks, job scorecards, and ensure compliance.
• Continuously improve recruiting operations through process optimization and automation.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize the recruiting technology stack (ATS, sourcing tools, scheduling software, candidate communication systems).
• Establish recruiting KPIs and dashboards (time‑to‑fill, cost‑per‑hire, offer acceptance rate, 90‑day retention, source effectiveness).
• Present recruiting performance and hiring insights to company leadership.
• Partner with sales and operations leaders to forecast hiring needs and align recruiting strategies with growth objectives.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing recruitment team while remaining hands‑on for critical hires.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and scaling recruitment functions in fast‑growing environments.
• Strong partnership skills with senior leadership to forecast and meet hiring needs.
• Hands‑on recruiting ability for field operations, sales, and leadership roles.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience creating and reporting on recruiting metrics.
