Director of Rooms

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Rooms to lead the Rooms Division of Etéreo Riviera Maya, a luxury resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape the guest experience, uphold the highest standards of service and product quality, and inspire a diverse team across all guest‑facing areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Rooms Division, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence, acting as the operational partner to the General Manager.
• Build, motivate and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of attention to detail and luxury.
• Ensure consistent product quality and service excellence across all guest touchpoints.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience.
• Drive performance metrics, budgeting and cost control for the Rooms Division.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in rooms division management within luxury hotels or resorts.
• Strong track record of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and operational results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.
• Deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards and a keen eye for detail.
